- Absolutely. A confident Mark was a truly hulking juggernaut and the .moniker of Smashing Machine definitely applied. He was a monster and with Ruttens stand up tutelage was becoming the best ever its tragic as in a greek tragedy in retrospect when you view the rise and fall of Kerr. He is still one of the best methodical crushing fighters ever as far as I am concerned. I would rather fight any mma fighters with true no holds barred than Mark if he wanted to really hurt someone he could had.

- This was a brutal fight, Gurgel was one of the strongest, most athletic jiu-jitsu vale tudo fighters at the time, he was tough as nails and technical, and Kerr just brutalized him...
