- The guys in the video are the soldiers that work for the Ukrainian Army. The people they are fighting are located on the east, closer to Russia. The west and east had a grudge all the way back since 1943, when the West joined the Nazis during WW2 and the East helped Russia defeat Hitler. Finally, the west in the present days decided to overthrow the Ukrainian government (with USA's help). They wanted Ukraine to become a part of the EU and not be associated with Russia. This means: everyone must be stopped from speaking Russian, reading Russian books etc. So the East made their own group called "The Resistance" ("Ополчение" in Russian). The Resistance NEVER attempts to attack the West, they just defend their people from incoming attackers. (A few days ago the West bombed a Hospital and a school in the east). And yes, the west used illegal weaponry such as phosphorus bombs (a type of chemical weapon that explodes on impact). So the Resistance that they are bombing in this video are a bunch of WW2 veterans mixed with volunteers and young men (even sometimes teens). This is very unfortunate and the fact that Russia has nothing to do with this is just killing me.
